Bay Trust
BayTrust is the name of The Bay of Plenty Community Trust which makes grants to community groups serving the Bay, in order to help build, strengthen and enhance local Communities. There is a specific legal definition but broadly, our Area is from Katikati to Turangi to Cape Runaway including Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga and Whakatane.

Community Organisation Grants Scheme
The Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS) was established in 1986 to provide essential support to not-for-profit, voluntary and community organisations. Most grants are for $3000 or less, and contribute to ongoing running costs (such as rent, travel, volunteer and administration expenses), to hosting hui, fono or community workshops, or toward project development costs.

Lakeland Disabilities Support Trust
The lakeland Disabilities Support Trust is funded by the Ministry of Health and provides funding to groups who are members of the Lakeland Disabilities Support Trust Forum. The funding can be in the form of ongoing funding, or one off grants for special projects.

Rotorua District Council
Council administers a wide range of funding and resources in support of local community organisations and activities, including grants, loans and contracts, and subsidised accommodation in community venues. Council also manages Central Government funding for arts and recreation organisations through the Creative Communities and other grants programmes. Funding rounds open in early February each year. In addition, Council provides computerised funding databases that are available for access at the Public Library, Citizens Advice Bureau, Mokoia Community Association, Pacific Island Development Trust, Te Whare Hauora o Ngongotaha and Rotorua Community Youth Centre.

Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust
The Trust has an established set of guidelines for organisations seeking funds. Donations are made for charitable or energy related activities which have a clear ability to improve and benefit the Rotorua District Community.

The New Zealand Lottery Grants Board
There is one Lottery National Community Committee and 11 Lottery Regional Community Committees. These make grants for projects that enable or encourage community self-reliance, capacity building and stability, opportunities for social, civil or cultural participation and reducing or removing barriers to such participation.
